Throughout their marriage, Rabbi Joel and Mrs. Ellen Cutler dedicated their lives to serving the Jewish community, particularly the Jewish youth. Their values were imparted successfully in the lives of their two sons Rabbi Ari, a Rebbe at Yeshivat HaKotel and David as the Director of NCSY Summer Programs. Both of their sons continue to educate with this website and inspire this generation’s youth with the values they learned from their parents. Rabbi Joel and Mrs. Ellen Cutler’s commitment to living a Torah life, the Staten Island Young Israel community, and inspiring Jewish teens is the foundation upon which NCSY Summer has evolved.
Every day for 12 years, Ellen Cutler a”h was the smiling face that greeted every NCSY employee and visitor to the OU. Her warmth and kindness set the tone for the day and lifted everyone’s spirits. She genuinely cared for each and every person who crossed her path.
