Parshat Mishpatim is the sixth parsha in Sefer Shemot. Following the revelation at Sinai, God teaches the Jewish people the civil laws of the Torah, including the laws of theft, damages, and custodianship. Moshe performs a ceremony with the Jewish people culminating in them formally accepting God’s Torah with the words “we will do and we will listen”.
